well the kids are asleep right now....and trust me they need to be! Braden is not doing so well today on the potty training....we have gone through 5 sets of underwear today....so needless to say he is in a diaper right now. We are going to try again when he wakes up. He really isn't feeling good today, he started the sniffling and sneezing AGAIN...I really thought he was over the cold, but I guess not. Kasen has been sneezing today....I really do not want him to get this stuff.
Kasen is sleeping in the crib now, he seems to be more comfortable there instead of the bassinet. There is a point to that....last night @ about 3 am he was crying so Billy went to get him. He came back into our room with Kasen and I asked him if Kasen was ok and this is the response I got "yeah...he's ok....he just pooped out a whole bicycle." I just started laughing....I was laughing so hard I was crying....Billy says the most random things at night....it's hilarious. I really think I might start recording them, maybe we could win some money on America's Funniest Home Videos....=)

Christmas 2008
Christmas this year was super busy, but very fulfilling. We had a family Christmas at our house for the first time on the Saturday before Christmas. Hank & Virginia, Jeff, Tyler & Lacy were here along with Granny Dixie, Papa Jim, Derik, Johnathon and Gavin. With a few others stopping by throughout the day. Braden really enjoyed running around and playing with Johnathon and Gavin, he doesn't get to see them very often but he absolutely LOVED playing with them. That was the beginning of our Christmas adventure, Sunday we went to Mema's house for Christmas, we left there and went to Bartlesville. Monday we had Christmas with Billy's family, and then went to Virginia's parents house that evening. We came home on Tuesday, had Christmas with Mom Christmas Eve, Christmas @ our house Christmas morning and then went to Meme's. Christmas night we had Christmas with my Dad. It sounds like a lot and it really was, but we really feel blessed to be able to share Christmas with so many people.

Braden was a lot of fun this year, he sat out cookies and Dr. Pepper for Santa and he left tomatoes for the reindeer. He woke up Christmas morning and had to go see what Santa left under the tree, but the poor baby didn't feel good at all. He was sneezing his head off, had itchy watery eyes and a runny nose, the only way you knew he was sick was by looking at him, because he certainly was not acting sick at all. His favorite toys were his trains, Duncan, Rocky and Harvey. He is crazy about his trains....Billy set up a huge track for him downstairs in the family room. That is really all he has played with since Christmas is his trains.
Today I started potty training Braden. I wanted to wait until the hustle and bustle of Christmas was over, he is doing really well. He only had one accident this morning, he even took a 2 hour nap without an accident!!! I am so happy.....If I can get him out of diapers we will have some extra $$$ each month...lol.
Kasen is getting SOOO big already, I cannot believe that he is already 7 weeks old. It really does go by WAY to fast. He started smiling at us on Christmas day, that is the best gift I received was to see my sweet baby boy smile at me for the first time. He is such a laid back and low key baby, completely opposite of Braden.

All I could do was laugh...
So today, of all days, when it is absolutely FREEZING outside, me and the boys are in the car running errands that had to be done today. On our way home Kasen decides that he no longer likes his car seat and starts screaming, normally when he is in his car seat he sleeps until you take him out. So Kasen is screaming and Braden says to me "Mom, is it nap time?" I said "yes it is nap time, are you sleepy?" and my answer was another screaming kid! So here we are driving down the road, Kasen is crying, Braden is crying and all I could do was laugh. I really felt like crying to because my head was pounding but I just busted out laughing. I guess that really was the best way to deal with it, I had nothing else to say all I could do was laugh!

going to try this out
Ok...so I have been considering doing this for a while now and finally had the time to sit down and do it. I want to do it so that our family and friends can share in my boys lives. I will try to put the funny little sayings that Braden comes up with and update everyone on how the kids are doing. I don't know how well I'll keep up with it considering we have a 2 year old and another one that will be here in 3 weeks....we are about to be busy busy busy, but I promise I'm going to try!
